Do you listen to Noah Kahan? 🤠

And his "Busyhead Project"

Good Morning 🌞

Welcome to another day of Joy Hour

Today, I have an incredibly inspiring story for you. If Noah Kahan isn’t on your radar yet, get ready to be amazed. This singer-songwriter not only captivates with his heartfelt music but also makes a significant impact on mental health through his initiative, The Busyhead Project.

The Busyhead Project

But first, who is Noah Kahan? 🤔

Noah Kahan is a talented artist from Strafford, Vermont, known for his heartfelt and relatable music. With his unique blend of folk and pop, Noah has captured the attention of fans worldwide. His songs often explore deep themes like personal struggles, mental health, and the complexities of family relationships, all delivered with a touch of humor and warmth.

Music with a Message

Noah’s performances mix wit and heartfelt lyrics, tackling topics like depression, family trauma, and the isolation of the COVID-19 pandemic. Despite these heavy themes, his music remains upbeat and comforting.

The Busyhead Project

Last year, Noah launched The Busyhead Project to raise funds for mental health initiatives, with a goal of $1 million. They doubled that, hitting $2 million! Funds come from ticket sales, donations, and livestreams, supporting organizations like Bring Change to Mind and Jack.org. In its first year, The Busyhead Project distributed funds to over 55 organizations, helping communities with limited access to mental health resources, such as Project Venture and the Rural Behavioral Health Institute.

A significant portion of the funds supports communities Noah visits on tour, as well as his home state of Vermont. The Upper Valley Haven, which provides food and shelter to over 10,000 people annually, benefits from his donations. At his shows, The Busyhead Project sets up community walls where fans share how they take care of their mental health, fostering a supportive community. Fans can also earn points for exclusive prizes by engaging with mental health content through Propeller.

Noah’s music is a lifeline for many. Fans like Hannah Curtiss find solace and connection in his songs, with Noah’s openness about his own struggles helping others feel seen and understood. His upcoming benefit concert in Vermont and his new track with Kelsea Ballerini, “Cowboys Cry Too,” show how he uses his platform for good.

Noah Kahan’s journey from Vermont to the world stage is a testament to the power of music and community. His work with The Busyhead Project shows that we can support each other and make a positive impact, even in challenging times.
