Project for Awesome
Ever heard of Project for Awesome (P4A)? It's this really cool event where people make videos to help their favorite charities. The whole idea is to make the world a bit better by supporting good causes.
People from everywhere create videos about charities they love. Then, there’s this big 48-hour event where everyone watches the videos, shares them, and donates money to help out.
It all started back in 2007, and now, we’re getting ready for the 17th one in 2024. It’s pretty amazing to see how many people join in to do something good together.
Project for Awesome is about helping out, having fun, and making a difference. Whether you make a video, donate, or just spread the word, you're part of something big.
Between Feb 16-18,2024, they raised a total of 3,53 millions!! 👇🏻
Who are behind this initiative?
Hank Green: An entrepreneur, educator, and vlogger known for his educational content on the Vlogbrothers YouTube channel and as a founder of Complexly, a production company that creates videos on a wide range of topics. (btw, he just launched a newsletter on beehiiv 🐝)
John Green: A bestselling author of young adult fiction, including titles like "The Fault in Our Stars" and "Looking for Alaska." He's also a co-creator of the Vlogbrothers channel and involved in various philanthropic efforts.
